I dedicated myself to the field of nursing, for 13 years in Public Health where patient education encompassed a wide variety of health services then entered the era of technological transformation. The transition from paper records to Electronic Medical Records (EMRs) marked a seismic shift in healthcare. As a nurse I knew the benefits of computerizing patient records could bring for patients and medical providers.
I changed my career to implementing electronic medical records and for the next 17 years, I crisscrossed the U.S., educating a variety of medical professionals across diverse settings; from small to large clinics to specialty facilities, universities, hospitals, and even prisons.
The impact of EMRs was profound, revolutionizing healthcare to what is today. My nursing career concluded with the satisfaction of knowing I contributed to the unified integration of transforming patient paper records to electronic medical records, educating and supporting medical professionals.
Now, with that same compassion for transforming change, from words to voice, I’ve launched “Colorado Cheryl Voice Over ” after completion of Voices for All’s Master’s Voice Course where I was coached by Lori Hauser. My home studio is set up and ready!
